[. . . that someone has started using like, a bunch of fanmail-- not just their own-- as fuel. that certain someone seats perched atop the arm of a nearby chair, shoulders hunched and one elbow resting on his knee as he wags a cigarette up and down in his mouth and watches the flame grow bigger. and bigger. and, um. worryingly bigger]

Huh. That's gonna burn down the entire tower if someone doesn't put it out.
